H K USP Spring Airsoft Pistol Black airsoft gun
>> Sweet USP 45 Spring Gun
I usually look at a lot of reviews and comments before I purchase anything like this but I had to get something quick and wanted something comparable to my UTG MK23 Navy SEAL spring pistol I m going to be airsofting with a friend who doesn t own a gun yet so I wanted to even the odds without spending a fortune on an AEG rifle Boy did I get lucky with this purchase
This gun arrived in perfect condition It came in a plastic bubble package but contained the gun and some free 20g seamless 6mm BBs The magazine is about the same as the one on the MK23 but feels a little heavier It may be weighted but whatever the reason it feels sturdy in my grip This gun has a metal barrel and feels pretty hefty for a 23 gun It is also very comfortable in my hand compared to the MK23 which is a beast I have small hands and this gun fits perfectly I can work the magazine release and safety without having to stretch or twist my grip at all
The magazine is a bit of a pain to load You have to feed the ammo in from the top But it holds 25 rounds comfortably and may be easier to load with the speed loader I haven t tried that yet The action is a little bit easier than the MK23 s It feels more durable too when you are pulling back on the slide After firing a few magazines worth off it gets easier to rack the slide
I fired both guns at targets from approximately 30 feet Both guns have almost the same power at this range as my KWC Sig Sauer P226 GBB I would say that the 240 fps is a little exaggerated Maybe 240fps with 12g BBs but probably around 220 or 225 fps though with 20gs
This gun is nice to shoot and has pretty decent accuracy for a spring gun It s a bit of a pain to have to cock the gun for each shot but it is fairly easy to get a quick sight picture and fire Compared to my P226 GBB I really prefer the GBB because you can empty the magazine without taking the gun off of the target and it has more realistic recoil but it takes longer to reload because of the gas Also magazines are hard to find for the GBB gun and they are almost as expensive as the gun itself For 23 this H K USP is a sweet gun It is a bargain for the price and a blast to shoot Although I couldn t find any spare magazines for this gun I could buy a whole new gun for less than the price of a GBB magazine would be for my P226
Next week I ll be testing this gun out in the field I can t wait If there are any major developments I will post again But I think this is a nice reliable inexpensive pistol to start out with If the dimensions of the grip are the same as the real USP 45 I will be buying one asap It is a nice licensed replica though and a good addition to any collection I m looking for a nice GBB version of this gun now as well
Pros Feels sturdy and durable
Comfortable even for smaller hands
Accurate
Decent power
Magazine capacity is good
More realistic weight than most inexpensive guns
Cons Kind of a pain to load by hand Same as the MK23
Have to cock it for each shot As with all spring guns
Only comes with one magazine
NOTE I have searched for a back up magazine for this gun and have been unsuccessful The manufacturer s web site doesn t even list H K s on the site It is a shame that you cannot get a second or third magazine for this gun without buying a whole new gun I would knock it down to 4 of 5 stars because of this Overall I still love this gun but having one magazine is a drawback I cannot overlook
